The Zigua is an ethnic group found in Tanzania. The Zigua is best known in the art world for their rare “mummy” fetishes. These are were powerful figures from the Zigua people in Tanzania and were revered for their healing powers. The following sculpture has a black patina it shows visible signs of age and usage.
