This is an old Tabwa sculpture made of wood, originating from the Fipa area in Congo is a fine example of elegant hand-carved sculptures from the Tabwa tribe. These figurative sculptures were prestige objects used for divination purposes and also represented the lineage chiefs and sorcerers among the tribes’ people. The following sculpture has a shinny brown patina and shows good signs of age and usage.
