This is a fine small old wood carved Makua Makonde Sculpture from the Makua people, also known as Makhuwa located on the southern border provinces of Tanzania. This fine zoomorphic sculpture was used to represent an armless ancestor. It has a dark worn out patina, arms sculpted on the belly with interesting features and look visibly old due to extensive usage.
