The Luguru are a Bantu cluster found in both east and central Tanzania. Very little is known about the Luguru art but the following sculptures were often placed inside people’s houses/huts. We could not substantiate what the following posts were used for but they have clear signs of age and good usage. This is a tribal art piece carved out of wood with a brownish patina.
