Luba Excavation Pot (LMCL-023)

The Luba people or are an ethnolinguistic group indigenous to the south-central region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The majority of them live in this country, residing mainly in its Katanga, Kasai, and Maniema provinces. We strongly believe this to be an old Luba Excavation pot, it is usually women who used to mold such pots. Clay was worked on entirely by hand and shaped and fashioned into the desired shape.
