The Luba people  are an ethnic group indigenous to the south-central region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Majority of them live in this country, residing mainly in its Katanga, Kasai, and Maniema provinces.  The popular board game is played in many parts of Africa. Either in holes in the ground or with such game boards, carved out of wood,   The following board has a dark patina and shows visible signs of age and good usage.
