Lega inhabits the virgin forest of eastern DRC, between the great lakes and the Lualaba River, next to Luba people. This miniature mask is rare and such masks often served as badges in the Bwami society and were locally known as “Lukwango”.This passport mask has a brown patina with kaolin and shows signs of age.
