The Kaguru, are an ethnic and linguistic group based in central Tanzania. As much as the Kaguru used drums as musical instruments, they were also employed in religious rituals to cool and pacify land and nature spirits. The following drum bares a dark patina and has leather at the top, it is no doubt a bush collected item.
