Baali Mask Congo (LMSK-024)

Baali tribe,they are found in democratic republic of the Congo and their dialect is particularly not known to be anywhere close to the Bantu, they are believed to have migrated from Gambia in west Africa. Bali masks can be assigned different uses and meanings, they were widely used during  initiation ceremonies of Baali men.

This is a fine old mask from Ituri region of the North-Western Congo. It shows perfect signs of age and usage.
