Inspiration
My name is Joe Nixon Ndyanabangi, I have been a dealer of tribal African art and antiquities for 20 years now. I specialize in Congo, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and South Sudan but also artifacts from Rwanda and Burundi. I found myself growing an interest in this trade as a result.
I developed a passion for tribal art after curating in a contemporary art gallery Tulifanya Gallery for numerous years. After a while I decided to specialize in old, field collected pieces, for those curious, collecting or dealers and are all welcome by appointment on our humble gallery on Gayaza Road, 8 miles from city centre of Kampala.
Over the years of my field trips I have accumulated quite a collection, I am still thrilled by my extensive network of a local field collectors in the region. Of Kenya, Uganda, Sudan and the Congo, what sometimes they find.
